Bagel – Meal of the week!

It is halftime in my prep for bikini 2022. So it is eight weeks done, but ten weeks out. So excited! Everything runs smooth, I feel comfortable and don’t feel any restrictions in my daily life. From now on, I will be counting down. 🙂

Diet

No change to last week. My calories are still at about 2000 calories. It is crazy to me my body still drops weight. It is perfect, as it goes slow and steady. I rarely have days where the weight jumps up on the scale by a lot. Mostly, it just gradually goes down slowly.

Every now and then, I notice that I get more sensitive to food and recognize if something is not digesting well anymore. Therefore, my go-to breakfast is now a rather salty one, and I try to keep protein shakes to a minimum if I can. On travels and if on the road, they still come in handy though.

Meal of the week: Bagels! I saw them in a store that sells organic food and immediately bought them. I serve them for breakfast, with all different kinds of toppings. My favorites are Avocado, Salmon (to ensure Omega-3 supply), Quäse (high protein, low-fat cheese), Quark, lettuce, and cucumber. It adds up to 450 calories and is a filling and absolutely delicious food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!!

My other primary protein source lately is beef jerky and eggs. Love both and have it daily in almost all my meals. I try to get at least 90% of my protein from whole foods. These serve for higher quality muscle mass and prevent me from losing muscle. I might be wrong, but it helps my body build quality muscle. In addition, the egg yolk has a ton of micronutrients, fueling my body well.

Beef is next to chicken and fish one containing all nine essentail amino acids, which the body can’t manufactures on its own but requires from the diet. All nine essential amino acids to stimulate muscle protein synthesis and also keep plasma levels on the amino acids balanced (Source: aminoco.com ).

Workout

My workouts this week were great. I pushed myself and I simply feel great. There is not much more to say about it.

Bodyform

My body keeps improving. Honestly speaking, in tiny steps. This is great, as I am not losing muscle visibly now. Still, at the same time, the progress pictures do not yet show a big difference, keeping enthusiasm about the progress from this point of view low.

This is when I need to keep myself in check mentally. Sometimes, we need to disconnect from visual aspects but instead, need to focus on how we feel and look at all the other markers. They are all great. Workouts, energy levels, weight drops, sleep, social engagement. Although I am prepping for a beauty competition, this means so much more than looks. This is life and how we feel is everything.

Summary

This week was another fantastic week. I am still on relatively high calories, my body weight still drops, and I am proud of what I have achieved so far. The countdown starts now. I am 10 weeks out. I still need to take care of so many things and get into. One is the bikini, which I still need to make. The other practicing make-up and hair so that I could do it myself if I wanted to. Everything will fall in its place, though, I am sure.
